Note to Lead Pastor:
Please plan the service order with your normal prelude, invocation, welcome, vocal and/or instrumental music (in whatever genre your congregation is used to), open altar, offering, announcements, benediction, postlude, etc.
Following an introduction, Dr. Jacob begins by presenting Aspects of Listening to the Bible Story and The C.O.R.E. Principels of Tell THE Story.
After that, the Holy Bible story text, Matthew 14:22-33, is told four times during the service in the following manner:
First time: As the Lead Pastor, please be prepared to Tell THE sTORY (read the text) to the congregation (in a manner and rendering they normally hear from you).
Second time: Dr. Jacob will Tell THE Story with dramatization (including the simple props and mime actors listed below, as available). Although a formal rehearsal is not necessary, it is suggested that: (1) mime actors be assigned to characters listed below and simple props be found that are listed below at least three weeks ahead of the campaign; (2) all concerned become familiar with the Holy Bible story text; (3) all concerned plan to meet with Dr. Jacob 30 minutes before the service is scheduled to begin.
Third time: During Meet & Greet, Tell THE Story to each other.
Fourth time: Dr. Jacob will Tell THE Story (with intentional errors) to three (a child, a teen, and an adult chosen from the congregation) in conversation with him sitting around a table (including correction as he tells the story).
After that, Dr. Jacob ends by posing the Five Questions. This is a time of interaction, giving the congregation an apportunity to "preach the sermon".
God-willing, Dr. Jacob will have an altar call.
Please have adequate stage lighting and amplification (lapel mic for Dr. Jacob and mobile mics (or the equivalent) for interaction between Dr. Jacob, the actor(s), and/or the congregation.

Hymn: Does Jesus Care?
Cue from story: "Don't you care that we are going to die?!"
Words and Recording of Music provided below
1 Does Jesus care when my heart is pained
Too deeply for mirth or song;
As the burdens press, and the cares distress,
And the way grows weary and long?
Refrain:
O, yes, He cares - I know He cares!
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares, He cares.
2 Does Jesus care when my way is dark
With a nameless dread and fear?
As the daylight fades into deep night shades,
Does He care enough to be near? [Refrain]
3 Does Jesus care when I’ve tried and failed
To resist some temptation strong;
When for my deep grief there is no relief,
Though my tears flow all the night long? [Refrain]
4 Does Jesus care when I’ve said goodbye
To the dearest on earth to me,
And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks —
Is it aught to Him? Does He see? [Refrain]
Hymn: Master, The Tempest Is Raging
Cue from story: "...the waves stopped."
Words and Recording of Music provided below
Verse 1
Master, the tempest is raging!
The billows are tossing high!
The sky is o’ershadowed with blackness,
No shelter or help is nigh;
Carest Thou not that we perish?
How canst Thou lie asleep,
When each moment so madly is threat’ning
A grave in the angry deep?
Refrain:
The winds and the waves shall obey Thy will,
Peace, be still!
Whether the wrath of the storm-tossed sea,
Or demons or men, or whatever it be,
No waters can swallow the ship where lies
The Master of ocean, and earth, and skies;
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will,
Peace, be still! Peace, be still!
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will,
Peace, peace, be still!
Verse 2
Master, with anguish of spirit
I bow in my grief today;
The depths of my sad heart are troubled—
Oh, waken and save, I pray!
Torrents of sin and of anguish
Sweep o’er my sinking soul;
And I perish! I perish! dear Master—
Oh, hasten, and take control.
Refrain:
The winds and the waves shall obey Thy will,
Peace, be still!
Whether the wrath of the storm-tossed sea,
Or demons or men, or whatever it be,
No waters can swallow the ship where lies
The Master of ocean, and earth, and skies;
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will,
Peace, be still! Peace, be still!
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will,
Peace, peace, be still!
Verse 3
Master, the terror is over,
The elements sweetly rest;
Earth’s sun in the calm lake is mirrored,
And heaven’s within my breast;
Linger, O blessed Redeemer!
Leave me alone no more;
And with joy I shall make the blest harbor,
And rest on the blissful shore.
Refrain:
The winds and the waves shall obey Thy will,
Peace, be still!
Whether the wrath of the storm-tossed sea,
Or demons or men, or whatever it be,
No waters can swallow the ship where lies
The Master of ocean, and earth, and skies;
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will,
Peace, be still! Peace, be still!
They all shall sweetly obey Thy will,
Peace, peace, be still!

There's power in the blood, power in the blood;
Would you o'er evil a victory win?
There's wonderful power in the blood.

There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb.
There is powe, power. wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

There's power in the blood, power in the blood;
Come for a cleansing to Calvary's tide;
There's wonderful power in the blood.[Chorus]
3 Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow?
There's power in the blood, power in the blood;
Sin stains are lost in its life giving flow;
There's wonderful power in the blood.[Chorus]
